Cito Mailboxes · built for one
The address for a teacher who needs exactly one mailbox, not a system
Cito is Latin for “quickly” -- claim a name at cito.email and the address that carries a weekly class note or a reply to one family is under your own name, not a personal account you also use off the clock, and not a shared department alias with three other logins on it.
Example address: [email protected]. This page shows catalog planning figures, not a charge: no checkout runs here, and turning on a live mailbox is a founder-confirmed step that has not happened -- nothing below creates a mailbox or moves a dollar.
Why not a free personal account
The class note should not live in the same inbox as your own mail
A free personal address works until the day it does not: a parent finds your personal handle from a reply-all, or a class thread sits next to messages that have nothing to do with school. Cito Mailboxes separates the two on purpose -- one address, reserved under your own name at cito.email, so a family reply lands somewhere built for it instead of a shared personal inbox you also use for everything else.
There is no team tier here and no shared login to coordinate: the address belongs to whoever claimed it, and it stays a single mailbox in that one person's name. If a school or studio needs several people to cover one address, that is a different product family entirely (Castra Mailboxes is built for exactly that) -- Cito is deliberately the smaller, single-person shape.
What claiming the address actually gets you
Two things, on purpose -- Cito does not try to be a district mail platform.
No setup ceremony
Claim a name and the address is reserved -- there is no admin console to configure, no domain record for you to manage, and no onboarding call required before the name is yours.
Kept apart from your personal inbox
School mail belongs on cito.email, separate from the account you use for your own life. A reply from this address reads as coming from your teaching role, not from whichever free provider you signed up for years ago.
Built for one, not a roster
There is no class roster, no student directory, and no bulk-import here -- this is a single address, not a communication platform. A teacher who needs roster-wide messaging is looking at a different Homeroom-family product, not this one.
Who this is for
One teacher, one purpose-built address -- and where it stops
Cito Mailboxes fits a single classroom teacher, adviser, or freelance educator who wants one clean address and nothing more to manage. It does not fit a front office that needs several staff sharing one inbox (Castra Mailboxes is built for that access-controlled, multi-person case), and it does not fit a district that needs a mail platform with admin controls, retention policy, or bulk provisioning across staff -- those are separate products, and this page does not claim to be them.
The name on the address is the customer's own; we do not imply a specific school or district already uses cito.email, and we do not attach a school's name to the brand without that school's own claim.
What one address is priced at
A single catalog figure, because there is only one plan shape here: one teacher, one mailbox. This is a planning number, not a bill -- nothing on this page charges a card.
One teacher, one address $3.00 / month, catalog
Catalog price -- not a charge
10 GB of storage on the one mailbox this tier includes.
One clean professional address for a single teacher, adviser, or freelancer.
Priced out at the included mailbox, that reads as about $3.00 a month at today's catalog rate -- a planning figure, never a charge.
What is actually true today
A reserved name, a catalog price, and nothing switched on yet
Cito.email is a domain we own and a name a teacher can claim -- that reservation is what makes this page live today, not a signal that mail is flowing. It is not a live mail system today: this page never claims you can send or receive mail from this address right now, because we have not turned that capability on -- that is a founder-confirmed decision, described here in the present tense rather than as a promise about the future.
Contact details for anyone who writes in through the demo form stay inside our own private system. We do not hand them to an outside marketing company and we do not sell them. We also do not call the system unbreakable or claim data can never leave -- we run it ourselves, and we describe the handling honestly rather than with a guarantee we cannot back.
- Prices shown are catalog estimates, not a charge -- checkout is not open yet.
- Mailbox provisioning is a founder-confirmed step and is currently off; no mailbox is created and no card is billed.
- A branded address is a professional mailbox, not a claim that any specific school or studio uses it.
